Work experience: I have been happily employed for 4 years with Child Development Dayhomes of Alberta, I also have in the past taught numerous preschool children’s classes for Parks and Recreation (City of Edmonton), and community league programs.
Favorite part of the job: I love the diversity of my job: there is a great mix of creative planning for workshops and prop boxes, as well as time spent with the children during workshops and Quality Enhancement visits. I also love having a key role in opening new provider’s homes, ensuring that Child Development Dayhomes high standards are in place and that the providers understand and take pride in achieving and maintaining these standards.
Special interests: I love to have large family gatherings. I love to cook for family and friends (pies are my specialty). I also enjoy gardening, exercise, 0reading, decorating, and doing textile crafts.

Work experience: I have been working in Childcare since 1998. I worked with school age children for 3 years. I then moved on to work with Headstart Childcare. This was a research project which looked at implementing Headstart strategies into a daycare center. Once the project was complete I left to have my one and only child. In 2006 I started with Child Development Dayhomes.
Favorite part of the job: I would have to say that I have two favorite parts to the job. I really enjoy visiting each dayhome and interacting with the children. I also enjoy meeting the families that will be using a dayhome with our agency.
Special interests: Music and reading. |

Work experience: I was a Marketing and Promotions Specialist for a manufacturer of high-tech communications products for over 4 years where I did tradeshow planning and created brochures, advertisements, and signs. Other experience includes Customer Service and Sales Support/Administration in various industries.
Favorite part of the job: Referring parents to CDDH's day homes. I love helping people!
Special interests: I enjoy playing a variety of sports (especially golf and badminton), reading novels and spending time with my family. I am definitely a bird lover. I have two budgies who are finger-trained and a Senegal parrot who loves to say "Shake your booty!" |
