Education:  Early Childhood Development Diploma

Work experience: I have worked in many Early Childhood Programs that serve parents and children. I have been an Early Childhood Professional for 12 years. I first started in Day Care Center in Saskatoon, Sk where I worked with children 2 to 6 years old, and became their Inclusion Coordinator where I assist children with special needs become part of everyday programming. Then I was a Coordinator of a Family Resource Program for a small rural community, where we developed and implemented programs for children 0-6 years old and their parents to play and learn together, along with supporting the local preschool program. Then I moved to Fort McMurray, where I worked with Parent Child Resource supporting parents in their home with child’s developmental needs. I was then the Licensing Officer for the local Child and Family Services where I regulated and monitored child care programs with the region on Wood buffalo. I have currently been the Coordinator of Child Development Day Homes Fort McMurray for 2 ½ years, and enjoy my job immensely.

Favorite part of the job: Knowing that I am helping the community creating quality child care spaces for children and families. I love approving new homes and helping parents find a home that they feel happy with. Fort McMurray deserves to have quality child care available to children and families to help make it be the best community it can be.

Special interests: Spending time with my children, running, golfing, and reading a good book!

Favorite part of the job: Helping parents feeling comfortable with their childcare choices, Engaging with the children during my visits, and assisting and educating providers and watching them flourish. Having a great support system!

Special interests: Golf, Tennis, Pilates, reading a good book, enjoying time with family and friends, the great outdoors
