Childcare Consultant in Fort McMurray (position has been filled)
Location: Fort McMurray, AB
Application Deadline: May 14, 2024
Days/hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm or 9:00am – 5:00pm
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
-Monitor regulated government-approved dayhomes
-Support and mentor Dayhome Educators
-Assist families with the dayhome registration/payment process
-Ensure agency and government standards, policies and practices are met and maintained
-Inspire and collaborate with Dayhome Educators, children and families to engage in the Flight Framework – Alberta’s Early Learning and Childcare Framework
-Liaise with community partners to serve the best interest of children and families
-Implement best practices in Early Childhood Development
-Support families and children
Qualifications:
-Degree, diploma or certificate in Early Childhood Education (minimum Level 2 ECE)
-Experience working with young children
-Experience mentoring and/or leading others
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Proficient with computers
-Organizational and time management skills are a must
-Warmth, enthusiasm, humor and flexibility are important qualities for staff member
-Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
-Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
